The Story of Suu Part 5 - Fated encounter

A few days ago Suu overheard a conversation in the forest mentioning a Melon Festival in Melon village. (It´s famous for its melons. Just to clarify~)
Today is that big day and he actually got dressed for it, wearing some blue overalls and nothing else. It´s one of the only kind of clothing he feels isn´t that confining and kind of acceptable to wear.
He´d rather not wear it to the festival, but there´s no way he could enter the melon eating contest without it. The humans there are strange like that...

So after letting the sunshine wake him from his cozy sleep and going trough the extremely taxing task of putting that overall on, Suu headed out to the village!!!
To his surprise, just a few minutes later he saw something unexpected. There were two....humans? Sitting around the frog well.
But one of them had a tail and wings...and horns?
"Quite the weird creature..", Suu though to himself. But non the less he stepped closer, curious as to what would happen.

Araya and Nuyo being the spirits of the forest have an extended sense of their surroundings and had already noticed Suu as he climbed up the stairs to their location.
They pretended to not notice him though. They are sly like that - trying to make their everyday life a bit more interesting as they pretty much lived forever.

So as Suu got a bit closer Araya pointed at him with her tail and made a grunty and happy sound - Afterwards pointing her tail to the ground.
The meaning was clear "You! Sit!" - So Suu did, a bit perplexed at how she noticed him without looking in his direction.

Nuyo just watched them both with a grin on his face ^^

Suu sat down. Araya handed him her bowl and let him take a sip of the fresh frog-well-water.
After a short moment Araya said in a cheeky and cheerful voice "Sooo...you want to go to the melon festival, right?"
Suu confused how she knew nodded with wide eyes. O_O

"As it happens we love melons too! Let us join you!" Araya continued with a little twitch in her wings and toes. Was she nervous?

"Now now Raya, you could at least say please. We can´t go if he doesn´t let us go with him after all.", Nuyo interfered with a relaxed yet slightly disturbed voice.
"....pleeeasseeeeee?", Araya continued while eying Nuyo - slightly annoyed at his comment. But he just smiled at her ^^

Suu sipped a bit more water from the bowl and answered, "Ehm...I guess so. Sure. But who are you two?"

At which both of them replied confused "You don´t remember?"

After a short pause Araya added, "We are the reason you´re still alive silly fox." Which made it even more weird and confusing.

It took a bit longer to finish than I imagined, so my front-page countdown was at "0 days" for a while. Sorry for that :3
I´ll try to be faster for the next part~

I wrote the description in a more detailed and book-like style than the last one. Good change?
